What needed to change

This was not a single-room refresh. The kitchen, a bathroom addition, doors, trim, and the main-entry staircase all had to work as one renovation so the finished home felt connected instead of patched together.

Signature detail

The staircase became the signature element of the renovation. Widening the main entry, then building custom treads and a custom railing, connected the upper and lower living spaces and gave the project its strongest piece of custom work.

How the rooms support each other

The kitchen and bathroom addition were part of the same whole-home effort as the doors, trim, and staircase. Handling that work as one connected scope kept the renovation from reading like a stack of unrelated room updates.

The finished result

The completed renovation brings together the kitchen, bathroom addition, custom-fitted doors, baseboard trim, and widened main-entry staircase. The stair remains the signature piece and the clearest example of the custom work within the larger renovation.
